O.K., I can't top that.
An Audiophile Nightmare
I woke up this morning and knew I had to share with my fellow AGoners a bit of humor only we would truly understand. Last night asleep, I was suddenly awakened by what was perhaps the single worst nightmare I've ever experienced--one of my speakers had been moved without my permission. That's right, the left speaker was off by at least 2 inches after having spent God knows how many days of precise measuring, re-measuring, and listening. Waking up this morning, I still sensed an unusual disturbance in the force until I walked into my den and suddenly realized that, yes, it was all just a horrible nightmare and that my precious center image was still intact. The relief was incredible, and my morning coffee and Wordle were like heaven!

Put painter's tape on floor to mark speaker positions. Take pictures of knob positions on analog equipment (optimized settings) Back up optimized digital settings (prepros, etc) Lock the door Get a cleaning robot (he usually a cutie...not a monstra like the cleaning lady or wife)
