My worst nightmare is to see the cleaning lady anywhere near one of my turntables with a feather duster. My wife has had to peel me off the ceiling once or twice. God only knows what happens when we are away for extended periods like now. This is not a joke and now I wont be able to sleep tonight.
An Audiophile Nightmare
I woke up this morning and knew I had to share with my fellow AGoners a bit of humor only we would truly understand. Last night asleep, I was suddenly awakened by what was perhaps the single worst nightmare I've ever experienced--one of my speakers had been moved without my permission. That's right, the left speaker was off by at least 2 inches after having spent God knows how many days of precise measuring, re-measuring, and listening. Waking up this morning, I still sensed an unusual disturbance in the force until I walked into my den and suddenly realized that, yes, it was all just a horrible nightmare and that my precious center image was still intact. The relief was incredible, and my morning coffee and Wordle were like heaven!
