High current amp search

Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a 200+ wats amp (8ohm) that will double it's power down to 2 ohms but importantly also check all the audiophile boxes so strong, articulate, fast bass, smooth resolving mid-range and extended non fatiguing highs. It's proving to be rather difficult because hardly any manufacturers list  output into 2ohms. Budget is around 4000$ so I'm looking at mostly used. Besides something like the Krell FPB 300/400 CX which can be had for that much , what else can be recommended?

Dear @gavman  :  First I'm not telling that make a change of your Boulder for the 20.6, a misunderstood for your part. Dry sound?, well this depends of the whole syatem audio and not only the amp and I can tell you that at least the 20.6 is everything but dry.

In the other side The IMD in your speakers exist but at low level due that the crossing is at 230hz and due to the excellent driver Focal uses on it. I think you are using the subs only as reinforcement on the low bass. Your speakers goes down to 22hz ( 3 +-db ). My speakers goes down 16hz and I use subs because the woofers has a higher cross frequency than yours.

Even that you said NO I can tell you that I know for sure what I'm talking about and that I know very well the signature of Boulder amps and I can tell you that I can live with its amps .

This is an end game level amp.

@soix

Re that eBay listing, I think I would get its serial # and confirm the authenticity of the handwritten Platinum inscription on the back panel with the factory

Once again I need to reiterate, I'm not looking for an monster watt amp, I'm looking for an amp that puts out the correct amount of watts into the lower impedances. The reason is to have a flat frequency response across the board. Bass being the culprit. I don't need 500 watts into 8 ohms, honestly 150 would be probably enough. I'm interested in the 2 ohm rating. So let's say 600 in this case. When I said high current, that's what I meant. In any case im pretty sure I narrowed it down, thanks to all the suggestions in this thread. It's been appreciated.

@devinplombier i have only required subwoofers since i re-orientated my room.

Initially my speakers were benefitting from the two foot thick rubble walls of my traditional Scottish cottage. However i installed full width windows across the other side of my room and changed the orientation so that when sitting in the LP i now look out of the windows. It was soon apparent that I'd lost some drive solidity and bass extension, hence the move to subwoofers.
