Dear @lukaszwk " Have you measured my system? I don't know your credentials but your assumptions are out there at best. My speakers are very well designed and are not THAT difficult to drive. The amp is not going work that hard with them. Also they are very capable of working full range without having to neuter them at 80hz or elsewhere. If you are so compelled to run your speakers that way because of your persistent claim about distortion, have at it. I disagree because I used to do just that, as in high pass my speakers at 70 or 80hz and the system sounded like crap. ""
I don´t need to measure your system when your subs has at least 10% THD and if you don't believe me ask that specific spec to the manufactrer. Take a look to different subs manufacturers and look for specs, for example Rel Acoustics ( and many more ) and you can't find out that spec.
Years ago Stereophile reviewed JL Audio sub and J.Atkinson measured around those 10% THD, latter on the manufacturer ask not publish measures with out approbation of them and STHP just deleted that measure.
I never said that your speakers are not well designed but " only " a trouble in that so high croosover frequency ( 550hz) that per sé develops high IMD and THD no one needs to measure it to know about.
If with HP filter sounds like a " crap " then something was wrong down there.
" You seem to have a hard time accepting that people don't agree with you. "
notreally ,my knowledge level probably is inferior to yours I'm only an audiophile and that´s all. Trying to help. I can't do it with you then I already posted: fine with me. No bad feelings.
