I have multiple turntables, phono preamps, phono cartridges and SUTs, so I can mix and match to get good or great sound from most LPs.
I’ve been at this a long time, so I rarely purchase bad sounding LPs that can’t be made to sound good or great with equipment choice. I also record everything I play, so if noise is a problem, it can be reduced or eliminated digitally. I have a few damaged LPs that can’t be restored, but only a few. There are also a few that were originally recorded with some distortion or the tape had defects. I'm stuck with those.
