High current amp search

Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a 200+ wats amp (8ohm) that will double it's power down to 2 ohms but importantly also check all the audiophile boxes so strong, articulate, fast bass, smooth resolving mid-range and extended non fatiguing highs. It's proving to be rather difficult because hardly any manufacturers list  output into 2ohms. Budget is around 4000$ so I'm looking at mostly used. Besides something like the Krell FPB 300/400 CX which can be had for that much , what else can be recommended?

Seems like talk of Class D has brought back interest in mega power amps , 500 to 1000 watts, again in favor.  I myself have dusted off my old Bose 901s and ready for the party. 🎹

I'm open to class D but almost none that I'm aware of double to 2ohms. Not so much interested in mega power, just current.

+1 on the Coda #8.

I recommend the Parasound JC5. It doesn’t double down as impedance halves, but in actual practice, it sounds considerably more powerful than amps like the Coda 8. Impedance/Power doesn’t tell the whole story regarding how an amp performs.
