The Mogami cables, like those from Belden, Canare, Gotham, and others (that are used by vendors such as Blue Jeans Cable and World’s Best Cables) originated in the pro audio market (i.e., microphone cables, etc.). Pro audio type cables are typically designed with neutrality, durability, flexibility, and resistance to interference in mind. Other manufacturers in the home audio market offer a variety of cables that provide a variety of sonic shadings. Cables do sound different from each other IMO, but only you can decide which of them flavor your system in the direction you are looking for.
Here is AI’s take on the Mogami cables you are using and one of the Gotham offerings that I have found to sound pretty good in my system.
"In audio applications, the Gotham GAC-2 Ultra Pro (10666) is generally considered superior to the Mogami 2549 as an analog interconnect due to its significantly lower capacitance and more advanced shielding, though the audible difference for shorter runs may be negligible. The choice often depends on your specific system, listening environment, and how long the cable run is."
