And rock music is way waaaaay more than just Dire Straits (I listen to them maybe once a year). Brothers in Arms sounds good but there’s plenty of exciting rock that sounds just as good even (sometimes) on the cheap "Club" pressings.
I agree but I think Dire Straits (self titled) is the better than B in A in terms of music and production/SQ (The MOFI OMR is quite good). B in A was one of the first DDD CDs back in the day if I remember correctly, so perhaps the vinyl version isn't quite as good as earlier albums as it was digital all the way.
I have a couple of AP reissues of Bad Company that are pretty great, among others.
