And rock music is way waaaaay more than just Dire Straits (I listen to them maybe once a year). Brothers in Arms sounds good but there’s plenty of exciting rock that sounds just as good even (sometimes) on the cheap "Club" pressings.

I agree but I think Dire Straits (self titled) is the better than B in A in terms of music and production/SQ (The MOFI OMR is quite good). B in A was one of the first DDD CDs back in the day if I remember correctly, so perhaps the vinyl version isn't quite as good as earlier albums as it was digital all the way.

I have a couple of AP reissues of Bad Company that are pretty great, among others.

@rvpiano I never listen to anything based on SQ alone, I have to like the music.

And I do stream a lot but when I sit down to play vinyl, most records are chosen for mood/music/production/pressing quality, generally in that order as my record collection is relatively new and were selected after deciding whether what I buy is "worth" owning on vinyl.

I have favorites, but I listen to a variety of music not just the same albums over and over. I try to be careful to buy a decent pressing when I make a purchase. I have bought a few of the cheap reissues that I don’t play because the sound quality is poor. There is too much good stuff to deal with that in my opinion.
