which excels at Rock and Roll

Room is 14X14' No treatments, but, room currently sounds great. Amp PASS X250.8, Fritz Carbon 7se bookshelves, LA-4 preamp, SVS SB3000 sub, Bricasti M5 streamer, Meitner DAC, only Rock and Roll, 85 or so DB   Considering used, Platimon VC 1, Arendal 15-28,  Marten  Oscar, Acora MRB-1, and Small tower, Devore Fidelity Gibbon super 9. There are others, but, I believe these would be the top contenders, USED?  Any and all responses welcomed. Love my FRITZ and won't sell. Just considering the above. Thanks, Robert TN

My pleasure. When visiting Nashville, see Colin King at Gestalt Audio. He has several great Loudspeaker lines. Nice listening studio as well.  Is there a Marten dealer/retailer in Nashville or Atlanta?

Happy Listening!

Many years ago I owned JBL 4350's with Phase Linear 700 for the bottom end and 400 for the top. Now they were great rock speakers, punchy and could handle full amplifier outputs and ask for more. At medium volume they could produce some very sweet sound. On poor recordings they sounded well .. I don't miss them.

Might be just a psychological thing for you..if you know how to use a volume knob or tone controls.

The last time you sat in your car and cranked it up, did anything get overloaded?? I am sure nothingvgot overloaded even though that car's cabin was a lot smaller than your 14 by 14 room.

It's mostly a psychological thing/ a hallucination about overloading rooms when a guy who's used to tiny crappy speakers sees a big speaker in a smaller room.

Found out the DI's are just to acoustically strong and powerful for that space. (14x14 with open door to bathroom and on the other side, door to open hallway)

I would love to have maybe a small tower that would fit in that room and not
