Transfer digital library using Free Your Music

Hey - 

Doing a transfer of around 53K songs from Apple Music to Qobuz using Free Your Music.

It's taken over 24 hours and looks to have a verrrry long way to go.

I checked in with ChatGPT and all they came up with is that it'll take a while.

Wondering about your experiences transferring a large library from one streaming service to another. My WiFi is good here at home. Using iPhone 15 Pro Max for the transfer.

in my case I'm transferring all of my songs/albums as well as the playlists.

Are you doing the same? Do you have a large library?

I don’t get it. These aren’t Qobuz songs but Qobuz will let you play them from their platform ? Please explain. Thanks

A service such as Free Your Music or Soundiiz acts as a go-between 2 services when you want to add a new one. In this case, it scans my collection in Apple Music and recreates it in Qobuz using their music. It won’t match up perfectly as not all streaming services have the same music, but it’ll be pretty close.

Interesting. I wonder how Qobuz decides which version of their song to use to replace the Apple version. Hi Rez, cd,remastered etc ?

Does Apple have all the same versions Qobuz does? If so I guess Qobuz just picks the same version?
