Used Bookshelf up to $3k

I quite like my Merlin TSMs, and plan to keep them, but just for grins want to try something else. Up to $3k, including used.

Does anyone here like anything by B&W? Seems like people love them or consider them just OK on other forums.

I've had two pairs of TSM Black Magic, and a pair of VSM MXe.
I just sold my last pair of TSM, and a pair of ProAc D40R, and replaced them with...... a $300 pair of Spica TC-50 !

Happy as a pig in the proverbial...

Doubting if Speakers were used mounted on a Bookshelf was not my query.

I would have expected to learn of Speakers mounted on a Bookshelf.

My query was with all the knowledge out there today about Room Treatment and Audio System set up, the idea of suggesting a Speaker is intended for a Bookshelf is needing addressing, as Bookshelf mounting is far from a typical recommendation to interface a Speaker at its optimised within the dedicated listening space.

The concept behind dedicated Speaker as a Bookshelf design, suggests a Bookshelf is the preferable option to purchase, in place of a Stand to seat the Speakers on, which with a Stand enables options on multiple positions for a placement within the Listening space.

Pindac.....What the heck is wrong with you? Who has EVER suggested bookshelf speakers are preferable to anything else? The use, in my case anyway, is driven by available space. As an aside, I don't even understand your first two sentences. Oh well, ready for my nap anyway.

As made known on regular occasion ' Scroll on By ', I have a growing Fan Club who can't wait to Skip Past the 'pindac'. In cases like this I am happy to be encouraging, please scroll on by, when 'pindac' is next seen as creator of a Post.

As said, Bookshelf for a Speaker is parity to Bouncing Floor Turn Table.

Does not all available knowledge currently shared publicly strongly suggest avoidance and any of the above two set ups.

If a individual has a Broom Cupboard dimension room and went out and Purchased a Speaker that had the dimension/volume of a Shoe Box. This would not concern me one iota. The iota of concern would be ditto, is such a Speaker was mounted on Bookshelf with one on the Bottom Shelf and One on the Top Shelf.

If the end user was listening to music as they wanted, it's not any of my business.

For the Record: Not at any time have I challenged the set up of a Speaker owned by any contributor to this Thread.
