Interconnects/Cables of your choice, and why?

This can include the following:

----------------------------------------

- Balanced interconnects

- RCA interconnects

- TOSLINK Cables

- SPDIF (Coax) Cables

- Ethernet Cables

- USB Cables (USB-A)

- USB Type C (data-line cables)

-  HDMI Cables

I’ll share what I use too, later on. Once this discussion post receives some responses. Let’s talk about cables for knowledge transfer and making the right purchasing decisions. Sometimes it's just fluff, other times it's the real deal.

thesummit

Westminster Labs XLR interconnects for amps, pre-amp, DAC and speaker's active sub-amp

Westminster Labs power cables for same above.

Masterbuilt Reference 2 SPDIF for DAC to Jay's Audio CDt3 mk3 transport

Grover Huffman Pharaoh power cables for EAR 324 phono pre-amp, distribution box, turntable, turntable power supply, Alesis Masterlink and complete living room system

Grover Huffman Pharoah speaker and RCA interconnect cables in both systems.

Zenwave D4 Mk2 (these are the all silver D4s) and one Iconoclast UPOCC copper RCA. I find the Zenwave cables to be slightly more revealing than the Iconoclast and image placement is extraordinarily with the Zenwave cables, but I had the Iconoclast, it is close to the quality of the Zenwave cables in my system, so I use it from preamp to amp.

I use a Zavfino Gold Rush phono cable. I’ve thought of experimenting to replace that one, but I have not done anything yet.

I use CeriousTech Lumniscate cable, full loom. The power cord is transformative in particular, especially with respect to any digital components, such as servers, DAC’s  and streamers. In my opinion, the most transparent, musical, and substantial cables, hands-down by a wide measure.

Rick Schultzs  Apparition cables- Speaker cables and XLR replaced my Transparent cables.

My goodness. What a can of worms you have opened here. After 30 years in the audiophile realm, it has come to my conclusion that it is very difficult to take definitive conclusions from others experiences with cables. Whether that IC AC Coax speaker usb . The variables with your system whether it be your ear or your system or simple what you listen to influences your choice in cables. I have speaker cable that are great for jazz and classical but suck for rock. For example my transparent ultras for classical and jazz on my tube system is great but front room system for 5.1 and big time sound is a mix of DH Labs and Acoustic zen ( my fav and great on the used market). Budget concerns are always a factor. Look for solid built quality item with out voodoo claims. DIY is also fun easy and rewarding. You can build a high quality cable for half the price with little effort. AC cables being the easiest. So many videos to help you on the way. Does this answer any questions or produce more? In the audiophile world knowing more makes it more confusing. Life is easier when there are no variables
