Pass Labs XA25
Congrats on the Pass XA-25 purchase. I have have had mine for several years as well driving my Dynaudio Heritage Specials and the Pass is excellent. Let us know after you receive yours and have had a chance to listen a bit.
Phono Stage with XLR outs
Not tube, but one other to consider is the Simaudio 310LP, which used should be in the price range. I have the larger 610LP and am very pleased with the sound.
Magico Pods vs Townshend Seismic Platforms
I built my own spring based footers this year for my Dynaudios. I was also taken aback at the difference they made. As @ghdprentice mentioned, similar experience - all around improvement in imaging and bass definition.
Linear Tube Audio - Micro ZOTL - version -3 Update on upgrades
I am using Telefunken ECC81s and went with Ken Rad VT-231s. The combination is working well in my Level 3.
Class A vs AB
I agree that it is more than class A vs class AB. There seems to be so much more to NP designs, such as circuit topology, simplicity of of amplification stages, and types of amplification devices, that factor into the design philosophy and resulti...
Will Bluesound ever offer Qobuz Connect compatibility
I just tried it as well and Qobuz Connect is working on Bluesound for me as well. I had to reboot my Node for some reason to get it working, but unplugging and restarting got it going.
Interconnects/Cables of your choice, and why?
Zenwave D4 Mk2 (these are the all silver D4s) and one Iconoclast UPOCC copper RCA. I find the Zenwave cables to be slightly more revealing than the Iconoclast and image placement is extraordinarily with the Zenwave cables, but I had the Iconoclast...
Power cables of your choice, and why?
Zenwave PSR power cables on my preamp and phono stage. They are incredibly revealing and very neutral. On my Pass amp, I use a Zenwave PCR cable. Also very revealing, but just a slight bit of warmth that the silver cables don’t have.  I also use a...
Anyone else noticing A’gon being slow/constantly refreshing?
Yes. And a number of Heroku log errors that have never been coming up since the last month or so.
Final Touch Callisto
I use the Final Touch Callisto as well. I bought mine used some time back to replace an Audioquest coax cable, so not an apples to apples comparison. I was very impressed with it and haven’t thought of another digital cable since then.
Tough Nut Cones Isolation for loudspeakers, brilliant solution over spikes
Thanks for mentioning that @audiotruth. Right now just on some very cheap springs from Amazon, but I do have some additional plans to build footers there as well. Yes, always good to keep the neighbors happy. Thank you for putting this back in my ...
Tough Nut Cones Isolation for loudspeakers, brilliant solution over spikes
Thanks for sharing and congrats on the results you’ve gotten. It’s also always good to hear about some reasonably priced components in audio. Based on @buellrider97 thread about footers and some general interest in trying something other than spi...
The death of ultra hiend audio
It’s one thing to think about a particular luxury industry in isolation, but I do think it is important to look at some in parallel as well. Watches, fashion, automobiles, etc. Each is distinctive, but are there are any similarities over time? Eve...
Magico Pods vs Townshend Seismic Platforms
Being a "hard" interface, the Magicos won’t touch low frequencies @mulveling Having been down a bit of a rabbit hole based on another thread recently, I couldn’t agree more. These look very nice and expensive. But I cannot see how from an engin...
Footers under new speakers
This has been a great thread and I have really appreciated the diversity of thoughts and experiences shared here. @buellrider97 Thank you for sharing your journey so far. This got me down a bit of a DIY footer project for my Dynaudio speakers tha...
