Pass Labs XA25

While reading the 6moons reviews from 2018 and 2023, I noticed in the pictures from the 2023 review the XA25 has what looks like a small transformer (I may be wrong) mounted to a circuit board. I don’t see this transformer in the pictures from 2018. Does anyone know what’s the purpose of this transformer?

yes, I ordered one but it’s not scheduled to arrive till the first week of March give or take. It will be paired with either Paradigm Premier 200B, Focal Aria or Triangle Borea BRO4 stand mounted speakers. Preamp is Cary audio SLP-98.

Congrats on the Pass XA-25 purchase. I have have had mine for several years as well driving my Dynaudio Heritage Specials and the Pass is excellent. Let us know after you receive yours and have had a chance to listen a bit.

according to the dealer the XA25 is backlogged 8 weeks.

I will but it might be a while due to the 8 week wait and extended break in time.
