Help in the Boston area

Hi community, I got a hit for a wanted post I made on some rare high end equipment (a pre-amp) in the Boston area. I could use some help locally (I don't live nearby) for some eyes and ears on this because it seems to give me a scam vibe. I'm happy to pay you for your time and travel costs, gas, etc. Thanks, Adam

Boston area, Newtonville. It wasn't a craigslist ad. I talked to a friend of a friend this afternoon who lives in the area and is going to try to help me. Thanks for the responses, and I'll post an update here on the outcome (scam or a great opportunity on some rare gear).
Newton is a pretty wealthy area. If I lived there, I would be hesitant for someone to come to my home. Suggest meeting up at the local police station, many police stations encourage that.

@flipwils11 Just an idea ...

There's a great audio shop called "Q Audio" in Cambridge.  If I recall correctly, the owner was once and maybe still is an electrical engineer.  Pretty sure he does repairs on audio equipment and still handles/deals in vintage high-end audio equipment.  Perhaps you could talk with the owner and arrange a meet-up at his place and pay him a fee to examine & evaluate the equipment in question?

Ask  for ther Audiogon ,or US Audiomart user name ,or Ebay

if none then Waay to shady , there have been a lot of robberies

how about a cell number .?  Waay to risky , unless you bring  a few friends  with at least a defense weapon , , I would personally decline
