Interconnects/Cables of your choice, and why?

This can include the following:

----------------------------------------

- Balanced interconnects

- RCA interconnects

- TOSLINK Cables

- SPDIF (Coax) Cables

- Ethernet Cables

- USB Cables (USB-A)

- USB Type C (data-line cables)

-  HDMI Cables

I’ll share what I use too, later on. Once this discussion post receives some responses. Let’s talk about cables for knowledge transfer and making the right purchasing decisions. Sometimes it's just fluff, other times it's the real deal.

I may be mistaken, but I suspect the OP was referring to interconnect cable typology and not brands.

Hi Kevin. Thanks for attempting to clarify, so that I could confirm.

Cable topology and geometry is obviously very important. It could be telling us the brand name/model and/or additional information. Better if we can learn more from eachother.

For example, I have found Neumann RCA cables from the 1960s (mil-spec also) to be very transparent; but John's wire shop is a cut above.

So many good cables to choose now. Remember expensive cables does not mean they will match your system? Invest your time in auditioning. No shortcut on cables. You have to try them.

The chord company- music speaker cable . Still haven't heard better so they are safe for now.

Usb , Shunyata sigma usb .. same here, still haven't.....

Xlr,  made all of them myself from elec silver wire and untreated cotton tubes neutrik silver connectors . Have heard better but it's a ridiculous amount of money getting there .

Power cables vary depending upon equipment.

@jayctoy  Big +1, and it’s great that there are more and more reputable direct sellers with generous trial periods ranging from entry level like Pine Tree Audio up to higher-end offerings from Snake River Audio and everything in between that facilitate auditioning almost all levels of cables at home.

I choose cables based on cost and that they are aesthetically pleasing to my eyes because cables make no objective difference with the sound that comes out of your speakers. Anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of electricity would know that.
