What's wrong with this CD?

CD rot is the culprit,look it up.

That's interesting. I've never noticed that on mine.

I have been using CD's since they first came out and don't have any rot.  I think it's a myth.

@tpreaves I did. From what I read and the photos I saw on line didn't look like what I see on my disc. It's only about the size of a pencil tip where the aluminum is missing.
