Hello,  perhaps one of my points came across wrong.

"I have nice electronics and Audionet Max amps".

My point here is that stand mount speakers are often paired with lesser electronics or amps.  In stores, the big speakers are usually displayed with the nicer stuff, and smaller speakers with smaller integrateds and or lesser priced front ends.  This is why some buy nice standmounts, under power them and then say they are so so.  Better standmount speakers REALLY SHINE when given good stuff.  Cheaper standmounts not so much.

No. I couldn't come to a price that was acceptable with the dealer. They were a demo pair, and he only wanted to give me a 1k discount. Knowing the mark-up on speakers, I thought that he should have taken of another 1k and he still would have been ok. It was amicable though. I didn't argue with him at all, I just didn't me are the trip. I do wish that I could have heard them though. I really feel they would have fit my brief.
