Best way to spend my money

A digital guy asking the analog group basically so bare with me please...right now i have a VPI scout 2 with a high output Benz mc cartridge....going into a Gold note ph10...a 15 foot run of rca cable into a Pass labs int60...my table is set along a sidewall be cause of no room for the table around the rack.....So my questions is this...I have a grand to spend..should I buy a power supply for my phono amp...should I get a better  low output mc cartridge.. or should I buy xlr cables to run from phono to the integrated...I hear a promise of better things to come and I have no expectations to better my digital setup...thanks

I'd be looking at some of the SoundSmith cartridges. Excellent value especially when it comes to retipping. Yes probably a bit more than 1k but there are dealers that will give some great deals. PM me for suggestions.

To me, 15 feet is a long run for a phono cable. I would try to move the table closer and explore the balanced cable option. Definitely used. Good luck.

The 15 footer is carrying high level signal from the Goldnote, the way I read it. Anyway the Goldnote and Pass are both balanced so you ought to be using a 15 foot balanced cable between them with XLR termination.

What exactly is the OP trying to achieve?  What does he find lacking in his current analog?

Some turntables are very sensitive to the platform they sit on. I would experiment with that before doing anything else. You probably have some different footers sitting around. Try them and see if the sound is more to your liking. When I had my Linn, the sound was very tunable, depending on the platform. Certainly worth a try. While I don’t agree with the above assessment of how much you need to spend,  I don’t see $1000 going that far, considering you are starting with reasonably high quality analog gear.
