Has anyone heard an aftermarket power cord significantly change the sound of an Audio Research Reference 6 preamp? If so, please describe the cord and what you heard.
I tried Synergistic, BMI, Cardas, Elrod, JPS, KS Emotion, Masterbuilt, and Hijiri on my Ref 5SE. The BMI was very good (Whale Elite out of production) but the Hijiri Nagomi was the best match. It brought out all the musicality the pre is capable of (that I know of anyways).
All audio cable companies don’t know how to make a proper power cord. All their power cables sound veiled and harsh. Only Wavetouch audio power cord is made properly and sounds clean and closest to the original music. Alex/Wavetouch

Wow, that's quite a generalized statement. Have you ever tried a CH Acoustic power cable, e.g., the X20, against your own?
