Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?

For me there is one that has always been top of the list.

Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.

Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..

Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.

Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?

What’s the point of this question? It’s nothing but an invitation to be negative. If you don’t like someone’s music what’s the point in talking about it?

Congratulations, you have understood the point.

The comments may be negative, but the replies have been pretty positive. This post has just reached the top position in the ‘’Recently Popular’’ menu visible in the UK for Saturday with approaching 1500 views and 100 posts. All this in 30 hours.

This is my first discussion posted so l rest my case for thinking this was an interesting subject for others who wish to add and debate.

Joanna Newsome, Regina Spektor and anything with boogie-woogie piano.

Since most of the debating is about not liking popular and/or revered artists, my pick in that category would be Paul Simon (solo albums only). His solo stuff has always rubbed me the wrong way. I've got a couple of friends who feel the same way about Steely Dan, who I happen to like a lot. It just goes to show how different that we can be sometimes, which I find interesting.

Seems like it boils down to any music that exists, somebody is gonna hate and somebody else is gonna love.
