Weak Link in Vinyl Playback
"I do think the Hagerman sounds more transparent as far as detail goes, too, but that may just be placebo."   @owl9113 It's not a placebo. I'm an iFi fan in general but their entry level phono stages are not very good. Flat and dull.
Rumble showed up on NEW record???
@jrosemd There is no Beatles album called "Revolution," which is why @vinylandtubes asked the question. Everyone is patiently waiting for @oldrooney to correct himself and say "Revolver" but he seems to think the album is actually called "Revoluti...
Tube or solid state
No one has asked this question before. Cool to break new ground.
Anyone else's experiences with Space Tech Labs?
Why do People randomly Capitalize words and Spell bass as Base?
Who uses ADS Speakers
I bought some L810s around 11 months ago and haven't yet thought about removing them from the system. In fact, all I've thought about is buying another pair as back-up.
Sansui CA 2000 preamp
Glad it lived up to the hyp
tutube or not tutube
I wonder if this guy ever grew a pair.
Magnepans and cats, do they mix?
@eldartford I have a bag big enough to fit over your head. Need I explain?
Are spendor speakers competitive in sound quality to KEF, B&W, ProAC, Audio Physic
Gee, if only Spendor advertised more then everyone would know how good they are.
Suggest one obsure album we all should hear
A lot of people seem to be struggling with the definition of "obscure."
Question Regarding Clearaudio Concept Power Supply
@bomd That's not an indication. That's a confirmation. Why would Clearaudio manufacture a 12v power supply for the Concept if a 12v power supply was inappropriate?
Phonostage recommendations under $3K
@millercarbon It's. That's the word you're looking for. It's a contraction for "it is." See what I just did there?
Amp repair cost — is this right?
@joecasey How exactly do you figure that? The bathroom guy clearly included labor costs of $50 per hour into his estimate, and $50 is a common hourly rate for a contractor. Reading comprehension is a good thing.
A true audiophile can put together a resolving and enjoyable system for under $15k.
This is a music forum, not a gear forum.
Stereophile complains it's readers are too informed.
I think you're safe as far as being informed, Erik. "Its" is the word you were looking for in your thread title.
