Moderately priced power and optilink cables?

I just ordered a Denafris Pontus 2 DAC, which doesn't come with a power cable, and I'll need a short optilink cable to connect to a particular input. I have zero experience with either of these. I'm using mid-level audioquest connectors for a 6k system (MF amp, ATC speakers)

I'm looking at a Pangea Audio AC-14 power cable and an Audioquest Forest optilink? Is this a sensible plan? Any suggestions in the $40 to $100 range?

Thanks.

I used Toslink for a few years because my then Pioneer PD 65 player/transport only had toslink out. When I upgraded my transport it offered both Toslink and Coax. So I started with my Toslink, but I got curious about Coax and bought a Pangea Premier XL: NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE

Thanks, all. I’ve gone ahead and made my choice after I contacted the manufacturer of the new equipment coming and his ideas about what complementary moderately priced cables would be matched mind.

@m669326 - Take a look at

  • Zavfino power cables
    • Power Cables - ZavfinoUSA
      • their OCC cables provide great dynmic performance and clarity
      • but their entry level stuff is very good also
      • Take a look at this link for what other members think about them
  • DH labs optical cable
    • Polymer Toslink
      • this is the best optical cables I have tried
      • I use a 2m version on my home theatre setup
      • it is very good - especially for the price
    • Glass Toslink
      • this one should be even better, but more expensive

Hope that helps - Steve
