@odysseebooks - A question - does your system contain components that came with both 2 pin plugs and three pin plugs on the stock power cables? Over the years I have oswned many Two-pin (or double insulated) components More often than not they w...
how to buy power cords that fit my components (i.e tight and snug)
@audiocanada - Try the aluminum foil tape (Home Depot) used on heating ductwork. A couple of small pieces on the underside of the plug should be adequate it is not spongy or slippery just make sure it does not extend past the end of the plug ...
Duelund conversion to DIY Helix Geometry Cabling
@norco74 - I would pass on that feedback to KLE Innovations - they do make changes if there is a valid case for an upgrade. They may not change the existing model, but they may introduce an upgraded product to their lineup, specifically for amps ...

Duelund conversion to DIY Helix Geometry Cabling
@lewinskih01 - re: and what internal wiring you use? Helix geometry or regular? Maybe it doesn’t make a difference. Others have told me that using the hElix geometry on any type of connection will improve sound quality i.e. for signal tran...

@holmz - RE: Should I wind a copper wire around the thing and attach it to the preamp ground as a test? Wrap a wire round the neutral of one of the phono plugs and ground it at the outlet BTW - it could be the souce and NOT the cable I had...
Do you consider cables to be a "component" of your system?
@vinylmisterd - re: I always wondered why there is never a discussion of the quality of cabling/wires used “inside” the components we buy when discussing external cables/wire. Just thinkin’ There are those that go to great lengths in replacin...

@dynguy - all cables require a "settling in" period even after simply being reconnected.- normally 20-30 hours In your case, some break-in may be required but it should be shorter than what is required for new cables - maybe 50 hours But that de...
