Harmonic Technology vs Transparent Cables

I don’t see many comparisons on these two brands. I’m currently using Harmonic Technology Pro-9 Reference internal biwires with my ML383 and Revel F30’s, and HT Pro-Silway II XLR’s on my Ayre CX-7eMP. I’m curious as to how they compare to Transparent’s Gen 5 Super, Gen 5 Plus speaker cables and interconnects, as well as the older Musicwave and Musiclink generations? Anyone have experience with both brands and these models?

@ghdprentice Harmonix, which is made by Combak in Japan and Harmonic Technology are two different companies. Not sure if you just mistyped or confused the two.

@Jond Thank you. Must just be my addled brain… I had to go back and look. I am talking about Harmonic Tech. I have quite a bit of the stuff. My mistake.

The Transparent Audio Musiclink "Super" is the sweet spot within catalog.

The presentation and sound certainly improves moving up the next Model.

Not familiar with Harmonic Technology brand?

Happy Listening!

This is an older posting but still valid for those on the used market. I have been using Harmonic Technology Cables (HT) for 20+ years. For me the best price/performance ratio in a widespread cable market. Had the HT CyberLight from Pre to Amp and HT Magic Link II from the sources.  With HT Pro 9+ speaker cables I have always enjoyed my setup. Long story short, Suspected an issue with the CyberLight cable and while it is being checked out I got a pair of Transparent Music Link Ultra rca Interconnects.  It took a good 100+ hours before the cable opened up into a full open sound field. 1st impressions after 50 hours of listening is very good.

The fact that Transparent is a more current design is evident. Essentially similar to the HT Magic Link II, in that they are near neutral,.. tone timbre, pace all very true to life.

HT and Transparent mate well, if not perfect, together. The transparent are better at macro detail which allows a fullness to the sound field. They also seem more dynamic. What seems to be minimized or obscured is the micro detail, Which was excellent with the HT Cyberlight.

Overall I'd say the ultra are maybe better than the HT Magic Link II in the overall sense, but to me it is a slight difference in presentation, either one is valid and enjoyable.
