聖HIJIRI Users thread

Based on a discussion with another forum member, I've been reading up on this Comback Corporation brand. The reviews I've found have been pretty positive, but I've also learned over the years to take all reviews with a grain of salt. So the purpose of this thread is for users to share their input on 聖HIJIRI cables. When you share, if you'd discuss what model of HIJIRI you demoed and what brands/models they were compared to, that'd be very helpful.

A little background: a few years ago I was reading the Audio Envy threads and decided to give them a try as the seemed to compete with much higher-priced cable.  So I decided to give AE a try. I found both the $179 P2 and the $279 M3 to easily best an Isotek power cord at $1k. So that got me thinking even more about value products. I was about to give Zavfino a try and then was given another recommendation to give HIJIRI a try. So this is how I got here. I'll be very interested to hear all user comments on HIJIRI and this should be a good repository for the brand.

Here is their website: www.combak.net

@grannyring , how would you compare a set of well-made DIY Helix Air RCA interconnects, to either the HIJIRI or Zavfino?

I have not compared the double helix builds I made to Zavfino ICs.  Never tried Zavfino ICs.  I only trialed a Zavfino Majestic power cord.

The Hijiri ICs were better in every sonic parameter, but as you know they are significantly more money.

If you can afford the Hijiri interconnects that would be the way to go in my opinion. The Zavfino is very good for the money but the Hijiri is in a different league.

I'm trying to find some more info on the HIJIRI technology in the cables but can't find any.  How are they fabricating these interconnects that they are so vastly outperforming the competition?  I've heard of other brands making low capacitance connectors which can help.  Also, Audio Envy interconnects claim a very low capacitance for the whole interconnect.

But how is HIJIRI rising above these other brands?

Not sure it is accurate to say they “ are vastly outperforming the competition”. Competition is a great big universe of brands and none of us have heard them all. Also, Hijiri is marked by a certain beauty of flow, tone and purity that will appeal to many, but perhaps others will want more of this or that other sonic attribute. The whole subjective thing comes into play. I will say they must be heard to find out if they “do it” for you like others have experienced.

Cable making is every bit an art also. Two cooks may be given the very same ingredients and asked to prepare the same dish. Both can taste very different. Cable building with like materials is the same. The Hijiri designer is skilled with the ingredients he uses. This is also a piece of the Hijiri “magic” as it should be. Can’t read about this in specs etc….

My speaker cables appear to be high purity, solid core copper.  The connectors are very high quality, but I don’t know if they are made internally.  The Nagomi power cord is very flexible suggesting stranded conductors.

There are many online reviews to be found on his offerings.
