Using platforms / shelves under floorstanders?

instead of spikes (which can mar the floor, are impossible to move easily, and tightly couple vibrations), has anyone tried using something like a maple / acrylic shelf under their floorstanders?

i see mapleshade markets them, but no one else seems to.

Look at SYMPOSIUM Super Plus they make one with copper spikes better made and better sound by far.Marble and Granite are very bright.

I've been designing Tunable Platforms for some 40 years now. It's a major part of not only giving you flexibility when voicing your sound but also makes for a necessary interface between the speaker/room/floor in most cases. I haven't run into many speakers or many rooms that perform better without Platforms.
