The Germany Brand Voxative Made very nice but expensive drivers. Especially very interesting the drivers with wooden cones , If anybody listen loudspeakers or drivers with wooden cones and what you impressions ?

there are a couple really good interviews on YouTube with Voxative's  designer she explains how they are made and why she used wood.

short of it was the wood has lower mass then the paper ones and is  much stiffer.

google Voxative on YouTube ( Steve Gothenburg did one and others  others)
Wood cones are definitely worth exploring given there will inevitably be trade off between the usual gains and losses. Gains include slight increase in tonal density, losses include a slight loss of apparent speed.

My JVC mini system sounds fabulous, albeit on a small scale with a pair of wood cones bookshelves.

If this JVC blurb is to be believed birch seems to the best wood of choice.

I look at drivers voicing/accuracy/percision/soundstage, 1st,,,then i ck db #'s. SEAS has low db, but incredible hifidelidty,,even better db ratings are SB and possibly equal/superior. I choose speaker 1st, THEN amp.

if you havea  $50K amp and a  2 cent sounding speaker =  2 cent sounding amp. Go figure.

@mozartfan      You did say nothing new,  i agree for 100%. But
seas exotic wide range is not expensive to compare Voxative especially wooden cones (3-4 times chipper ) and to make sure the yours is best , you have to listen other brands Cheers
