stereo5,
Don't get too upset by those comments. Jealousy is a terrible thing. I'm sure that many of us would love to try or own them if we had the room and the funds. At very least, they will be a thing of beauty. Of course, 95% of us wouldn't need that much power.
@stereo5,

“Do you think it is going to sound 230K better than is 20K mono blocks?” - Hell NO.

“I guess he is trying to bulk up his bank account before he retires” - Nothing wrong with that, in fact that’s what every entrepreneur strives and hope for at the end of his life’s work.

As with all things, there is a buyer for everything. Glad to hear you’re happy with your McIntosh as I am with my ARC.

@roxy54,

Completely agree with - 95% of us wouldn't need that much power.

Peace out!

Everyone is aware that this is an article from 2014?

For a more current exploration of cost no object amps the following was posted yesterday
https://www.analogplanet.com/content/sim-audios-costa-koulisakis-gives-us-tour-moon-888-monoblock-am...

But as these amps are only $120K a pair they may be too down market for most of us 🙃
I wonder, if all the tube guys will bite their tongues with a tube amp that cost $350K usd in 2004. SE tube amp that can't drive much at all (see measurements).

I think I'd rather have the arc welder than the feather duster and pocket $100K
