Biggest difference between Audioquest power cables against Shunyata power cables?

Hi everyone I upgraded/ bought another couple of power cables for my system. A Audioquest nrg1000 for my tube preamp and A Zitron alpha analog for my tube power amp. Though the imaging is better with the two power cables switched. I also did notice that it seams that shunyata gives a bit more juice in the power amp. And the cord end dose not heat up at the cord end to the tube power amp? Has anyone experienced or has a nrg-1000 in a 120watt tube power amplifier?

ptss,

Do you ever post anything that is even remotely helpful to anyone? Seriously.

A cord getting hot, or even warm is from the IEC metal contacts not having enough tension. I have found many through the years, mostly audiophile connectors from Furutech and Kimber. Those companies have the connector disassembled, for plating the metal inside. I suppose the people doing the work are not told to make sure the metal parts inside are within spec. for gap, tension, etc.
That is poor quality control and can cause a fire or other damage from the heat. Remember, a 14 AWG wire will not heat up until about 15 amps is drawn continuously. It will either be the metal tension or the screws holding the wire have become loose enough to cause resistance, and therefore Heat.
