NAD HD2 AV surround Sound preamp processor

Hi experts,

I am setting up a system with Revel Salon2s speakers (L R and Voice2 center) and Krell amps.

What do you think about the NAD M15 HD2 functioning as the preamp with audio processor capabilities?

I have a less than ideal room and believe that the processor capability will be a value add.

The system will be 60% home theater and 40% audio only. Music will be mostly rock and blues. Inputs will be Verizon Fios, blueray, appleTV, high resolution audio from HDTracks, etc., and Sonos.

Any other options without spending incredible amounts? For example, would you consider Integra?

You might want to consider Emtoiva. They have a new prepro due out very soon, the XMC-1, that has everything you need. And the projected price, $1595, makes it the best deal out there. Google it...

I would avoid the emotiva, the umc prepro still has problems with bass management, despite numerous attemts to fix it, if they can't get their current pre pro working right, I would be very wary of their new one that is comming out,

Thanks guys. It appears that the NAD T 187 Surround Sound Preamp Processor is probably the updated version of the T 175 HD, yes?

Any thoughts on this? It is list $1,500 less than the M15HD2. I wonder what is compromised?

Yes but with the 3D module(VM150), no video scaler, and a slightly different faceplate.

The T175HD can still be purchased from Spearit Sound for considerably less than the T187.
