Wow, EJ Korvette's!!  Man, I remember them from the store in Rockville, MD.  The story I heard was that they were founded by Eleven Jewish Korean Veterans, hence the name.  Is there any truth to that?Anyway, I was extremely fortunate in that my da...
Suggestions for replacement for my old Nuforce AVP-18 surround sound processor
Uberwaltz,  I have a NOS Integra 803.1 prepro that was their top of the line processor when I got it.  It has a TON of features, inputs, etc. and also includes the Audyssey XT32 Room Correction system.  This is a phenomenal processor and is big an...
How long do high quality speakers "last"
I have a 5.2 system that comprises Gallo Reference 3.1s all around.  The speakers are now about 13 years old and I fully expect to get another couple of decades from them.  My reasoning is that they are *very* well constructed speakers: they have ...

When rap came out 30 years ago I thought it was just a fad
TostadosUnidos offered: "Rap is not a form of rock and roll--it is rope-skipping rhymes set to a beat."Perfect description if ever I saw one.  IMHO, Rap is "music" for the lazy and uncultured.  Think about it, what does it take to put together a R...

I spent some very pleasurable evenings at Mr. Henry's waaaay back in the day.  And the same could be said for The Cellar Door, Blues Alley, The Crazy Horse, and several other clubs in the downtown DC area.  Washington has always had a very vibrant...

Amp for stereo subs
Swamp, how is it going with your Crown amps?  I've had mine in place for several months and I'm *very* satisfied.  As for fan noise?  What fan?  I have yet to ever hear the fans kick on, and I've pushed some serious db's thru this system on occasi...
