Hello Group, I am trying to figure out the best way to get quality sound and the best sound from different sources to my preamp. I have the following: Cell phone {2 choices}with 3.5 MM to rca inputs on preamp or USB C connection to USB input on preamp,or External Hard drive to USB input on Preamp and finally USB thumb drive to USB input on preamp.All devices have Flac files.Thanks already to YogiBoy and Petg60.There are so many choices these days and hoping to find someone with experience on this subject.Thanks

Wait, your preamp has a DAC, or your preamp has a built in streamer you can attach storage to?

A preamp with a USB DAC doesn't by itself have any sort of file browsing capabilities.

I think he just wants to use the phone as a source. He needs a male mini from phone to male RCA on the pre. 

USB stick or Sd card will need to be used through the phone and files accessed and played through the phone and output to the pre.

Hey Guys, My Preamp has a DAC but unsure how to stream..hence the questions.I can browse the files thru the preamp.I am old school but there are so many new possibilities.My Preamp is the Arcam Av-860.I am just unsure What combo will sound best.Thanks

Just plug the USB thumb drive into the port and start playing.
