I have the SH and wish I would have gone with the SM or SL. I don't like it run through the mm stage of my VAC. The loading isn't right and the 40db gain is a hair light. I use the Phonomena pre which is very adjustable, with 44db gain and 1000 ohms loading. It sounds good but I have a suspicion it would sound better with the lower output fed into the VAC mc input.
Glider M or Glider SH Opinions
Still struggling with this decision. I can pick up a factory retipped Glider medium output for $500 or a new Glider SH for $900. The M I tried in my system and I was pretty happy. The SH I can't try first. My pre handles both medium and high outputs ok. Quick with opinions, I'm going to by one or the other today!
