Burson Audio Rant…

That wasn't very nice of them blimo. I recall 6 or 7 years ago when replacing op amps on Bursons was all the rage.

Yeah, I was shocked when I asked to do an exchange I was told to resell the item.  We’ll see how this pans out.  I still want the burson op amps but if this continues to go sideways I’ll push for a refund and get op amps from other manufacturers.

I’ll still give them until next week to redeem themselves… could be just 1 person too, not representative of the company on a whole 🤷🏼‍♂️
 

What bummed me out was that I ordered that specific op amp based on a recommendation in a review of my amp and then I also saw pictures of my amp on bursons website with this dual op amp.  Turned out, I made a mistake and didn’t realize that my newer (newest) version is different and that it is not recommended to change that dual op amp…

Shameless plug… if anyone wants to trade a new, never opened Burson Vivid 6 Dual op amp for some single op amps Im game.  

I have a pair of Timekeeper amps that need to be checked out. Burson told me that they no longer support discontinued models.

I wouldn’t get anything they make.

So Burson offered to give me a refund but honestly, they were probably right really. Shipping is going to be $20 (+)?  Ona $100 item its not worth it.  They said they’d give me a 30% off coupon so ai’ll snag 4 Vivid V6’s, save $50 and be a happy camper.  I’ll report back once I get them in my set-up!

Be thankful that your mistake was very small.  People make mistakes that can cost them everything. I am always grateful when I can buy out of one of my fu’kups for a modest amount of cash.
