after market power cords for power conditioner or amps etc

Hello,  my front amps, subwoofer and A/V processor are plugged into a Furman IT 20I.  I was thinking about getting some middle of the road after market power cables to experiment if the power cords really make a difference.  I am thinking it would be a good idea to begin by replacing the power cord on the Furman IT 20I instead of incrementally repacking the A/V processor and amps chords.  Please advise.
Thank you.

I replaced the chords on my amps, preamp, & source with Nordost Red Dawns. It hurt but there was a noticeable improvement. I plug them into a Niagara 1200 for power conditioning. The Niagara definitely made the biggest difference for me.
thanks for the input on the brands of power cords.  What I am really interested in is whether to upgrade the power conditioner power cord instead of each component cable. It sounds like zyphryx is saying the most significant change in sound was a result in upgrading the power cord to Niagara.   I have all Mcintosh two 611 and one 302 amp and mx122 a/v processor.
Get a USED cable that retailed for $3-500 for at least half, and use it for the wall to conditioner.

Do it again for a another, then experiment to see if you hear a difference in different spots.

Brand suggestion is contentious, I stay out of those conversations. As the precious poster mentioned, I have a full setup of those kinda pricey, cables.

Gottem all used, otherwise can't afford such extravagance.  The retail total is absurd.

Good ones definitely make a very easily noticeable and cost effective improvement. No doubt about it.

The difference using it on the Furman will not be greater than on anything else. Go ahead. Get one. Move it around. You should do that anyway. Then you will see.

However, you can get better results from a $160 Synergistic Research Orange Fuse than from most $500 power cords. There's even a 30 day guarantee on the fuses. Which you won't need, because they're too good to return. The total improvement from 3 of these for less than $500 vs one $500 power cord will clearly favor the fuses. Even if you get a real good one like Synergistic Research Master Coupler used the fuses will still be a better deal.
