ADD-Powr by Coherence Systems --- Power Conditioning Products

Recent research into power conditioning approaches and products brought ADD-Powr to my attention. This company, and it’s products, were previously unknown to me.

The company, Coherence Systems, is based in Santa Monica, CA. and has been in business for some time.

An introduction and general overview can be found within their ’About Us’ page: https://add-powr.com/about

Nordost (in 2008) purchased the QRT technology that these folks developed.

Bill Stierhout is the proprietor / owner and the brains behind the ADD-Powr product line.

@bemused  Thanks so much for sharing that video. I've spoken with Bill a number of times, so it's really nice to see him in person!

Ozzy, I have read somewhere of somebody using Multiple Wizards and Sorcer at the same time. Sorcer was connected to his dedicated main consumer unit which sounds like the best place for it.

Hello,
I just purchased 2 Electraclear and placed each of them in my Furman IT reference 20i power conditioner and a Panamax surge protector. Is that a good place for them?

And do these units have a capacity in terms of how much power is consumed in a particular system?

Thanks for the feedback.
ADD-Powr has a new upgraded version of the ElectraClear.  Its price has increased to $125 (from $75).

I asked them what was upgraded and how does it compare to the older ElectraClear unit I already own.

Yes, I bought the new versions (soon to be discontinued) of ElectraClear.

I must say I’m not hearing anything positive rather negative impact to my system. It sounds a little dull or sluggish. As if it’s holding things back. Crispness is gone. Bass below 30 HZ seems to hang.

Since there’s no burn in period for this device I don’t think anything is going to change other than my ears getting used to them. What am I missing?

Hi srmahmud00: I've never been a fan of plugging one power conditioner into another. Try plugging an Electroclear and your Furman into the same duplex first. I would do the same with the Panamax.
+1 for @yoby 's guidance.  Repeating what he said: NOT into the Furman and Panamax. Plug the Furman and Panamax into separate duplexes and the ADD-Powr units into the open socket of each duplex.
Another +1 for @yoby’s recommendation.  Plug your ElectraClear unit into your wall outlet. That is where it is most effective.

Okay, I swear I read somewhere that people have been using them with their ElectraClear with power conditioner and heard great improvements. Not sure why mine behaving the opposite way.

anyways, both my wall receptacles are Hubbell with surge protection. I’ve plugged in each of the ElectraClear with Furman and Panamax on two separate outlets. Still can’t hear a difference. May be I have to listen to them in this settings for a while and then do a negative test and see if hear a difference.....good or bad.
But thanks for the suggestion.
srmahmud00, it may be that your Electraclear is working against another device or vice versa.
I have a slew of devices based on QRT/particle harmonization-alignment tech from different companies (Quantum Technologies, Add-Powr, Telos, HiFi Tuning, Kemp, Bybee, Audio Magic, etc.). One thing I have is a Wiremold strip with six of the old Quantum Technologies Electraclears plugged into it, and due to space at the time I also had my HiFi Tuning Quantum Plug plugged into the same strip. One day while tinkering around and creating more space I took the HiFi Tuning plug out of the Electraclear strip and plugged it directly into its' own outlet on my power conditioner and there was a night and day difference in that the Electraclears and the Quantum Plug were conflicting with one another in some way.
Now in my case there were two different QRT type devices conflicting, but perhaps the filtering in your power conditioners is an issue? One thing I always do to check on the effect of a device is try it with my video setup, try plugging the Electraclears into where your tv is and see if it makes a difference in it. Video is easier to discern differences in in my experience, then you can experiment from there if you wish (tv plugged into the Panamax or Furman with the Electrclear plugged into them as well).
Has anyone used ADD-Powr products with PS Audio latest re-generators, like the P12, P15 or P20 ?
Hey guys, I thought I would drop in and let you know that ADD Powr has a limited edition (says 3 left) of the Wizard on the site for 50% off the regular price.

I pulled an old Symphony Pro out of my closet last year and put it in my system and was amazed at how much it improved my system.  So I have been itching to try his new products. I snapped up one of these.

Indeed. I have a Wizard in my system and it performs quite amazingly in my system. The music presentation is greatly improved, harmonically enriched. It is an amazing product as there is nothing like it. Harmonic resonance through the AC line.
That offer is a great inducement with a complete 30 day money back policy.
X2 on board. X4 coming to replace the X2 🙂

Nordost QB4/8 and X2/4 is all one needs to get incredibly great sound.

Make sure you install a QS red fuse and install a AC cable that is worthy of such a fine machine.

ADD-POWR Sorcer X4 review by David Robinson / Positive Feedback:

https://positive-feedback.com/audio-discourse/impressions-from-an-editors-notebook-part-1-add-powr-s...

"Cutting to the chase: Regardless of which of the four systems was in play over the past 8-10 months, the performance gains brought by the Sorcer X4 were immediately apparent. I heard greater detail in every source that I tried, both analog and digital. Dynamics were improved, and the noise floor dropped. Even with other system enhancements in the listening room, there was an additional performance gain that brings to mind the emphasis that some mean when they speak of “a greater blackness” in their systems…a loss of noise, and an improvement in the SNR.

It was as if the entire listening environment in our listening room had been brought into a greater harmony, resulting in greater relaxation while listening, and a smoother path to connecting emotionally with the music. A new effortlessness, and a natural ease, made the experience with the ADD-POWR unit really desirable. And the result was confirmed on four different audio systems of unquestionable virtue. Every time, the Sorcer X4 made its presence…and the absences that its presence brought…quite obvious. Don’t think so? Try removing it from your system…."

I am using the X4 with the P3. The X4 must be plugged into a wall outlet and NOT into the P3. Doing the latter will be an utter degrade - the sound is harsh and high frequency glare. Installing X4 directly, unimpeded into the wall outlet on the same circuit is a HUGE change!
Stunningly beautiful sound is the result.
Therefore, with the ADD-POWR technology in parallel to, or precedes, the PS regenerator, then very good things happen. Very compatible!

For such a novel product to be conferred Brutus Award 2021 honors is no small feat.
