Infinity Irs Beta
The VT 100's would be enough power on the top and you can get good levels of volume, unless you are in a very large room and like to break plaster.....I had Infinity RS-1 A's and B's before I had the Betas.I drove my Betas with Audio research 100 w...
Infinity Irs Beta
I used to own them...Awesome speakers! And I mean great!! The bad news is they might sound fine now,but will definitely sound better with a good(relatively powerful) tube amp on the panels....I ran top quality Audio research units on mine. You defi...
NY Audio Show September 26th to September 28th
I knew EBM for many years(decades actually)and in reality he is a warm and very nice fellow.Humor can be misinterpreted and that is what has happened here, imo.
MAGICO Q1 vs dc10 Berlin SM
I can attest to the fact that EBM has an "amazing" system, which is equaled by his music collection, his hobby knowledge/experience/passion and ability to eek out the best from it all. He's had many speakers over the years(big Maggies,Avalon,Kharma ...
Magico V2 vs. Q1
The Mini II is a CLASSIC speaker! It demonstrated(to me) that it could easily stand up to much bigger designs and actually embarrassed many of them."This" with a smaller foot print and almost perfect design. There is a good reason these are sealed ...
Used Magico V3 or Rockport Mira 2
Charles, I understand and you make some very good points. The post about expression,in particular. best regards
Used Magico V3 or Rockport Mira 2
It doesn't.
Used Magico V3 or Rockport Mira 2
Charles, yes you are correct. No record needed to be set straight here.I admit this is only my(and a few other folks')opinion. No harm meant at all,as there are many wonderful designs. Still,in my 40 years in the hobby no speaker had impressed me as ...
Used Magico V3 or Rockport Mira 2
No disrespect to anyone in particular.......but....I find it absolutely laughable that the Magico Mini II can be weak in virtually "any" area,if set up in a good room, with proper matching equipment!.....and this ain't so easy, which is one reason w...
Magico Room at RAMF How good did it sound
The MINI's are "Classics"!! I've heard EBM's set-up a while back, and it was about as good as it gets,imo....and I have heard alot of sota equipment over the years. Some NYC based reviewer's had invited me to their homes at times, and few could touch...
5 legendary speakers?
From memory(and owned a few)..... Infinity Servo Static,Infinity RS-1B,"definitely" Quad ESL 57(or even 63),Avalon Ascent Mk- II,and without a doubt the Magico Mini II! The Magico Mini(to me)was/is the most impressive of the lot,as it "slaughtered...
driving Verity Audio Parsifal Ovations?
I love this thread!....Personally,I need to congratulate "all" of you Verity owners. These are superb speakers,at all levels. I wonder if any of you folks feel the "Parsifal Ovation" would work well with the De Havilland 50A amps? They are only 40 w...
Magico - a new Mini?
No arguments from me-:)
Magico - a new Mini?
Btw,I mispoke....The Pre was an Audio Research "modded" SP-15...not an SP-10(though I used to own both)! Sorry!
Magico - a new Mini?
At the time, the amp was a Rowland 8t,and a "highly" modded Audio Research SP-10(and I mean "modded to the max").The digital system was a Levinson 390s,with a modded SOTA Cosmos/Graham Phantom/Transfiguration Orpheus cartridge. All going through SOT...
