Saw Emmylou Harris last night.

What a classy performer. She was great. I'll leave it at that or I'll become all maudlin and list every happy descriptive term I can think of.

Just had to tell someone.

I saw her years ago (early 90's) at the Concord Pavillion in Concord, CA, back when she had "The Hot Band". She was fantastic and so was the band. I'm not so much into the acoustic stuff she does now, but she still is great!
i have been a fan since her debut lp in the early 70s. i wish i could see her every night but that is another story.
"Just had to tell someone"

I understand!

As wonderful a singer and musician as she is, certainly even a more wonderful person. Saw her years ago,... mid 70's at a little place called the Smiling Dog Saloon in Ohio. Had no idea who she was at the time. She was touring with Gram Parsons at the time. My good friend Don and I probably only went because there was a mention that Gram was a member of the Byrds. We both knew that we had been part of something special when we walked out. Still remember it as one of the best musical experiences of my life.
She's playing for free 5:45-7 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Banjo Stage as part of the Not Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA. Please take public transporation as their is NO parking in this residential neighborhood for this massive free three day music fest. Google: Not Strictly Bluegrass 2011 for details. Enjoy.
