2) Widespread Panic, look for live stuff.
3) A lot of Zappa - he had a GREAT rhythm section.
4) Airto Moreira & Flora Purim.
5) Osibisa

Steve Tibbets. "Big Map Idea" seems to be a favorite, though I prefer "Exploded View". He's on ECM, and his music is consistent with other artists on the label.
