Power cable for Ayre QB9

I would just use the stock cable.

When I had a CX-7, I bought a Cardas Golden (used) because that is what Ayre typically shows with. I found it to make only a very small improvement in SQ over the stock cable. I now have a QB-9 and have only used the Cardas with it. If you want to get a substantial improvement in SQ, you should upgrade your QB-9 to the DSD version - it's absolutely stunning!

Rufipennis, appreciate your response. I am thinking to try both PS audio and Nordost PC. I did find some previous discussion on Cardas not being able to improve the sound quality. Also, thanks for the advise on upgrade to DSD version. have you done the upgrade already? could you please advise how the DSD upgrade improves the SQ?

Upgraded to DSD version for my QB-9 and I use Shunyata Black Mamba CX for power cable. Expanded sound stage initially with Black Mamba and expanded sound stage more with the upgrade. Recommend getting the upgrade on QB-9.
