I'm pretty sure AQ doesn't make anything silver plated. I wouldn't go by that anyway. Cables are a personal choice. The only way to really do it right is to listen for yourself. Your system, along with your own personal taste is what you should use to make a decision. I will say that it makes much more sense to buy a pair of IC's over a power cord for your Ayre. I can't find a PC that's better than the stock cord for any of my Ayre gear. A good IC can be a very nice upgrade. I have cables by Tara, AQ, Cardas and Wireworld. For me, I prefer AQ with Ayre. Its a very safe choice, but you should still listen to it first.
