Bookshelf speaker recommendations

I have a luxman R-1045 receiver 45 watts per channel and looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers for it. One speaker that comes to mind is a Nola boxer S3

I am interested in the audiogon forum audience to give me more ideas that are under $1,000

PS AUDIO FR5 , I bi-amp mine and use an active analog crossover by Sublime K231.  And I've recently added Aperion Super Tweeters to the FR5.

Get venue ambience music like $750k SonusFaber Suprema & PSAudio FR30 with Aperion Super Tweeter RST

I also have the Nola Boxer S3 and also use a Rel sub. The Nola’s are the most complete bookshelf speakers I have owned and really love them. The one issue with them is their anonymity which means poor resale value so if you want to buy them, get ’em used. There is one set listed on USAudiomart right now and some 3s as well at great prices. I tried to sell mine because I had moved and they were my main speakers for a smaller room and I wanted to go to possibly active speakers and I couldn’t get a reasonable price that was worth selling them for. Despite this issue, they are great speakers that unfortunately are fairly unknown. I kept them and they are my speakers for a second system.

Look at Tekton Lore. They are on budget and do not need a stand since they are small floor standers. Read the reviews. I have them in my bedroom system driven by a NAD D3020 V2. About 30W.

If you can get a pair of used Kef Meta LS50 I think you are in business. One of favorite bookshelf is Harbeth P3Esr Xd. But it is a bit out range even used. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a pair of Paradigm Premiere 200B speakers—made in Canada—in my second system that I think do an excellent job.  I am driving them with a Rega Brio Mk7 integrated amp of 50 watts per channel.
