History of used gear you’ve bought

I purchased a Carver MXR130 receiver and a Nakamichi 700ZXE cassette deck from a local (West Hollywood) thrift store @ the beginning of this century.

I passed on a 2nd 700 ZXE that would not power up.

The receiver and the 2 tape decks were (I believe) part of a sound system @ a local clothing store (Esprit) which had operated down the street from the thrift in a building that had previously housed Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace (partly owned by Cher - I think).

I believe the above to be true as I saw the 2 decks and the receiver being used in the store in the 1980's and then ran across "the trio" years later.

I still have the receiver, but have not powered it up for years.

I bought a Fanfare FT1a Tuner a few years ago.   The seller was selling her Dad's estate and he had a few pieces of audio gear.   

Her concern was that I was a flipper.    She said how it was one of her Dad's most prized possessions and that he listened to it daily.    

I have often bought stuff used ,  kept it for a while and flip it.   It's part of going up the "ladder" so to speak.  

I promised her it would go to a good home.   It is currently in my main system,  but I swap it up with a few other tuner.  Turned out to be a great tuner.  

I was gifted a Rotel CD 591 HDCD Player and a Luxman T 350 tuner from a friend of the family. They belonged to her late husband who I was acquainted with. I don’t use them often but enjoy using both when I do,

I bought a Parasound T/DQ-1600 tuner from someone who insisted it came from the summer home of the guy who owns Under Armour.

Shoot, now that I'm looking at this written down, it just occurred to me it could have been stolen.
