Best practices to clean the binding posts on your speakers and amps?

I'm moving my speakers around again due to a low WAF where they are now and It's been a while since I cleaned the binding/plugin posts on my speakers and also on my amps.  I currently am trying banana plugs to hook up my speaker wire, and I want the best contact with a smooth, clean connection.  What do you guys do?

I follow a similar pathway.

I like to use small foam swabs--get them on Amazon.

If a pure copper post, I would clean with Caig Deoxit, then pure isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue, then a thin layer of Caig ProGold.

If a visibly clean plated connector, then I just use the alcohol followed by ProGold.

Funny, I have never noticed or even looked at the terminals.  Do they really get dirty?

@speedysteve4 Not really! I buy used gear and after a thorough cleaning I give the terminals a spray and wipe with isopropyl alcohol. After that I don’t bother with further cleaning. I have not noticed any change in the sound years later.
