Qobuz still messed up

Takes forever to load upon start up and then stops, long pause, and then next song in playlist starts, or rather stutters, stops and the process is repeated. Pretty sure it's Qobuz and not Roon since it happens with both Roon and MConnect. Pity.

Sorry to hear that @speedthrills .  What are you running Roon Core on?  I formerly had big issues with a Roon Nucleus.  Having moved on to better Core devices, roon is finally rock solid.

@kirkwallace that’s interesting. The N20 has a large SSD where it caches the music you’re playing - if you are using the Conductor app. Pretty much the entire playlist is stored. I’d say if you happened to access the albums you’re experiencing issues with back when Qobuz had problems, just clear the cache on the Aurender (there’s an option to do that in settings). But you’re reporting the same behavior with your other streamer. I played the exact same album using roon/qobuz and had no problems. Something is up. Still, try to clear the cache and play that Miles album again

@speedthrills

Curd..Usually the Roon forum comes through. Good people there.

Your nightmare sounds like the cause may be something locally on your home network is interfering with Roon.

Do you have tens of thousands of files?

Have you rebuilt database?

Hard wired in is good.

Do you have any other internet related problems?

When you run speediest, what speeds to your typically get?

What switch are you using (doubt this is the cause)?

Have you reloaded Room.

What's the entire digital chain from the wall out please?

What are you using for a roon core? How many endpoints?

You are not using airplay, Right?

There was an explanation on this site on a JPlay thread.  Looks like it’s a Qobuz issue and they are working on a fix.

TIDAL has now passed my 12-hour overnight stress test three nights in a row. Every morning when I wake up, the music is still playing. That's excellent.

By comparison, Qobuz would often stop randomly sometime during the night.

There are still some individuals who insist that Qobuz itself is fine and that the problem must be users' network, streamer, or something else. But if that were the case, why do the exact same network and streamer run flawlessly with TIDAL? That makes it difficult to blame the hardware or network alone.

Another interesting observation is that the Volumio app on my Rivo Plus, which used to feel rough and less responsive with Qobuz (even when there weren't any dropouts), is now noticeably smoother with TIDAL. That leads me to believe there are some quirks or inefficiencies in the communication between the Volumio software and the Qobuz app. I don't know exactly what they are, but there is clearly a difference.

I haven't heard friends or forum users report similar issues with other streaming services. Based on my experience, this seems to be much more specific to Qobuz than to streaming in general.
