Focal Sopra long term enjoyment

A lot of audiophiles including myself change out speakers like underwear! I’m curious impressions of Focal Sopra owners that have had them for several years or more and are you still digging them? I have a couple different speakers I’m looking at used and this is one I have not heard.

Thanks

I have the focal ot bought out by a new company grand utopia and love them. They have the flour array of neo magnets on back that work perfect. To me non fatigueing. Go see if you can listen to the focals. Just got bought out by a large company but dont think that will change customer service.

I had the Focal Sopra 2's for a few years and I was very happy with them.

You may have to experiment with room placement a bit, but really no big deal. Some say the tweeter can be bright, I didn't think so, but I had my Sopra's aiming with very little toe in.

Plus, they are a very good-looking speaker.

Just got them home from across the state. They are gloss black. Had to go back to work but will get the chance to get them all dialed in tonight.

Was up till midnight or so going through lots of different music checking these Sopras out. I gotta say I don’t think they were bright at all, that tweeter to my ear is damn near perfection. Very balanced with detailed meaty smooth midrange. Mid and upper bass is amazing. Maybe it’s the Lyngdorf, it’s just as neutral as can be and injects no harshness. Anyway I went through all my genres metal, rock, acoustic, reggae, country (not  radio rap crap country), some female vocal stuff for the wife. Everything was just great. They really unravel dense tracks wonderfully and keep is coherent. Example is Every Time I Die, definitely one of my favorite bands. Every speaker I’ve tried to play them on in my room it is almost unlistenable being bright tinny and messy. I don’t know how but they sounded Fin awesome on the Focals! Dense detailed and solid top to bottom. Anyway, I really like them. The obligatory new speaker drinks are hurting my head this morning!
