Michell Giro Deck and Keith Monks KMAL Record Cleaner

A friend of mine is downsizing and wants to sell both for 2,500. I know they have been taken very good care of and haven't been played in quite a while. He said he oiled the bearings on the turntable and cleaned a record with the record cleaner after replacing the pump, and said the record player is ready to be hooked up. He also has 3,000 records he wants to sell, most of which were only played once on a Thorens turntable. I think this is one hell of a deal. Am I mistaken?

Also, a Luxman Phono Amplifier LE-100. He doesn't know what he wants for that yet. He said he wants his stuff to go to a good home; nobody else that he knows has any idea what they are.

Got it. Just FYI, the Audiogon Bluebook says the Luxman Phono Amp, LE 109 should sell used for around $550, if that helps any. The original MSRP was $500.

Thanks, I'll see what he wants for the Luxman. It won't be 500, I wouldn't think. I'll let him set a price and go from there. Thanks a lot, everyone. I've wanted a turntable for a long time and never thought I would come across something like this.

Hmmmmm,

Nice opportunities, just think thrice:

You might not want 3,000 lps, that’s a lot to transport; store, and how many will be at a height that is easy to find/play without bending or on a step stool?

Are they all your musical taste?

I would not want to bother with which are the ’best’ or more valuable, just find music you will play, and a number of others you are curious about.

I have too many LPs, now it’s one in/two out.

I like a ’good deal’, but only if it is something I have decided (for myself) that I wanted, don’t fill yourself up with good or great deals of stuff you don’t really want.

If the LP's have been taken care of, and only played 1 or 2 times, you don't need an US cleaner.
