He Who Hesitates…

My Isotek power conditioner, which I purchased about a year ago,came with a nice power cable, but I was considering upgrading to the Isotek Optimum, which sold for $1295. But I waited. The price then jumped to $1395, but again, I hesitated. I just looked again today and the price was $1995. Needless to say, I am not buying it. I’m sure some of you have experienced the same thing. Unfortunately, I cannot find any on the used market. I’ve seen this happen before in the past, but I’ve usually purchased what I wanted before major price increases.

Sorry that happened. I had the opposite happen to me with a different product where I bought right away and then the price dropped. Reaffirmed for me the wisdom of buying used.

Even $100 for something that makes no objective difference in sound is ridiculous. Thousands of dollars would be enough to make P.T. Barnum have a stroke. Unbelievable.

Borrow it and see if it makes a difference for you. For the record, $$$$$ gear comes with pretty mundane cables. Even Nelson Pass said - we provide power cables that are fully adequate for our amplifiers.
